SMALL ANIMALS
Our small animal yard is a great place to experience hands on learning by visiting our farm raised calves, sheep, goats, pigs, bunnies, chickens, mini horses, donkeys. You might also meet a few other less common animals we rescue or give a forever home to.
CAMP FIRES & COOKOUTS
FIRST CAMPFIRE
We open each session with a camp wide campfire ceremony. First year campers become members of the Order of the Horse and everyone joins in on a game of Ships & Sailors.
S’MORES NIGHTS & SLEEPOUTS
Younger campers will have s’mores around the fire and older campers will have the choice of sleep-outs.
TRAIL RIDE SLEEPOUT
During 2 week sessions campers who are eligible to be staff the following year (16 by June 1st) celebrate their final year as campers by going on their own trail ride sleep out adventure with their staff. They spend one night camping and have two meals over the camp fire where they set up camp, care for their horses, and spend the night under the stars.
LAST CAMPFIRE
We close each session with a camp wide campfire ceremony commemorating the end of the session. It’s a tear-filled ceremony complete with awards, poems, and of course, songs.
GENERAL STORE & TREAT STORE
The General Store is brimming with essentials and BR merch! From cozy campfire-ready hoodies and colorful t-shirts to stationery, and something to spruce up your bunk, your sure to find the perfect BR keepsake.
There are few options when it comes to purchasing items from the General Store:
ORDER ONLINE (please allow at least 72 hours for orders to be filled during the summer season)
- Have the items shipped directly to you
- Pick-up items at camp during check-in
- Have items delivered as a package to your camper during their stay
SHOP IN STORE
Before drop-off, you will be asked if your camper can make purchases at the General Store (note: this does not include Treat Store purchases).
For campers that are allowed to shop:
- The General Store will be open twice a week (days will vary).
- We recommend talking with your camper about sizes, budget, etc. prior to their coming to camp.
If you’d rather your camper wait until you are with them to shop, the General Store will be open on Horse Show day!
The Treat Store is more than snacks, it’s a cherished gathering place where memories are made! We offer a wide variety of snacks and drinks (see the price sheet for examples).
Campers have the opportunity to go through Treat Store twice a day, once in the afternoon during Free Time and once in evening after Night Activity. Campers are limited to purchasing one food and/or one drink (not including water). Please make sure you send your camper with a reusable water bottle!
All General Store and Treat Store purchases are placed on tab that must be paid via cash, check, or Venmo at the Horse Show/during Check-Out.
