As the holiday season is upon us, we wanted to take a moment to thank you for being a part of the Black River family. We are looking forward to another camp season in 2024, and we are excited to welcome you all back to BR this summer.

Camper Sessions
Registration this season was crazier than ever! With so few spots left in the 2024 season, we don’t want you or your friends to miss out. Here are the dates for the 2024 camp season:
Session 1: June 16 – 19
Session 2: June 23 – 29
Session 3: June 30 – July 13
Session 4: July 14 – 27
Session 5: July 28 – August 10
Session 6: August 11 – 17
*Sessions in bold are full and have a waitlist*
Mother-Daughter Retreats
MD1: June 13-15 (Thursday-Saturday)
MD2: June 20-22 (Thursday-Saturday)
MD3: August 17-19 (Saturday-Monday)

Because camp isn’t just for the kids!
Bring your whole family, however you define it, and enjoy a relaxing weekend at the ranch. Explore camp independently and fill your day with horses, boating, swimming, crafts, archery, hiking, and more!

All BR alumni are invited to the BR’s alumni weekend! This is your weekend. It can be action-packed or relaxing … it is up to you. We are inviting all past campers and staff (21 years of age and up) that attended Black River, a.k.a BR GIRLS!

Camper Corner
Stitched Horse Decorations
If you are looking for a fun craft to do this holiday season or while you’re on winter break, look no further! This Swedish-inspired project is easy and can be done in any color combination you would like!
You will need:
- Felt
- horse-shaped cookie cutter
- scissors
- Stuffing
- Embroidery thread
- A needle with an eye big enough to accommodate the embroidery thread
Steps:
- Trace the cookie cutter onto the felt. Cut two horse shapes out.
- Using the photos of the horses to the left as your guide, stitch designs onto each piece of felt.
- Once you’re finished decorating them, use a blanket stitch to sew the decorated piece together with its corresponding back piece, adding stuffing as you go.
- Once you’re finished, thread a loop of gold metallic thread through the horse’s shoulder and hang them in your room, in your locker, or on your tree!

March 31st – Last day to receive a full refund on tuition and deposits when you cancel a session. For our full refund policy, click here.
May 1st – All Camper session forms and Mother-daughter tuition and forms are due.
June 1st – All Camper Session Tuition is due.
