DIY Valentines
Are you passing out valentines this year and still looking for one to make? Have no fear, we’ve got you covered! These valentines are inspired by girls who love horses and a good pun. These “You Make My Heart Go Wild” valentines are so easy to put together for your classmates, friends, and family.
Instructions:
- Click the photo to download the printable version.
- Print the valentine’s onto cardstock for the best quality.
- Attach a candy at the center of the horseshoe. Then sign your name at the bottom so everyone knows who it is from!
- Deliver your valentines!

The bigger the horse the bigger the love! Our boys want to celebrate Valentine’s Day too! Send your favorite horse a valentine and we will make sure they see it!

How Do You Measure A Horses Height?
Horses are measured from the ground to the top of the withers. The withers is the highest point of the back and is formed by the vertebrae between the shoulder blades.
Traditionally, horses are measured in “hands.” One horse hand (hh) is 4 inches (10 centimeters).
The Shire, one of the tallest breeds, can reach 19 hands high. Miniature horses can be as small as five hands high.
Yin is the tallest horse we have at BR. He is a Percheron and is 18.3 hh. Tony is a close second at 18.1 hands. Bingo is one of the newest members of the BR heard and one of the smallest! He is only 9.5 horse hands high.
We love all of our BR boys no matter how tall they are!
Registration Round Up
Camper Sessions
Sessions for the 2022 season have been filling fast! The following sessions are full and have waitlists:
Session 1 – June 19th – June 22nd
Session 2 – June 26th – July 2nd
Session 4 – July 17th – July 30th
Session 5 – July 31st – Aug 13th
Session 6 – Aug 14th – Aug 20th
Session 3 is the only session with available spots.
Mother Daughter Registration
Mother Daughter Registration happened last month and boy was it wild! We sold out in under 30 seconds! All sessions do have open waitlists.
Dates for 2022 Mother Daughter Weekends are:
MD #1 – June 16th – 18th (Thurs – Sat)
MD #2 – June 23rd – 25th (Thurs – Sat)
MD #3 – August 20th – August 22nd (Sat-Mon)
Alumni Weekend
This year’s Alumni Weekend is from August 26th – 28th, 2022. The session is currently full but the waitlist is open.
If you are interested in hosting a private fall weekend in 2022 please contact Maddie in the office.

If you have a doctor’s appointment soon, don’t forget to bring a copy of the physical form. Please make sure it is signed and dated by the doctor. Click here to download a copy of the BR Physical Form. This form is due for all campers by June 1st.

The Health History form is now live for all summer attendees. This form is due for all campers by June 1st.

The BR Office will be closed from February 7th to February 11th. We will be attending the American Camp Association National Conference to start prepping for the 2022 season!
